Experts at Travel and Tourism FoundationDripto has worked for over 15 years in economic and market research including with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) in New Delhi for more than a decade. He served the Indian Council for Market Research, Planman Consulting as Principal Consultant and then joined Majestic Market Research Support Services as Research Director. He is currently Vice-President, Analytics and Product Development with Indicus Analytics, New Delhi.

Tourism, especially, sustainable tourism is Dripto's one of the major research interests. He has worked on as well as working on several research studies related to tourism. A few of his ongoing research on tourism including "Impact of Tourism on Local Economic Development: A Case Study of Uttaranchal", “Impact of Global Economic Crisis on Indian Tourism” and “Tourism in India and its impact on climate change” make him a valuable expert for the Travel & Tourism Foundation.

Dripto has developed an expert command over various statistical and econometric techniques such as various forms of regression analysis including time series, cross section as well as panel regression analysis, factor analysis, logit models, discriminant analysis, cluster analysis, data envelop analysis, non-parametric analysis etc.

He is handling large secondary and primary database using statistical packages like STATA, SPSS, EVIEWS, other database softwares like PROWESS, GIS package Mapinfo etc with ease.

Dripto's main area of interests are market intelligence studies, forecasting, impact analysis, sustainable tourism development and climate change.

Dripto is a member of the solution exchange programme for decentralisation of UNDP.
