Libby Southwell, Masters in Responsible Tourism and Sustainability

Experts at Travel and Tourism FoundationFrom the backwoods of Australia to the highlands of Nepal to the sun kissed elephant polo fields of Galle, Australian Libby Southwell has literally been there, done that and written the book. Having travelled the world and been to the most extraordinary places, Libby left her successful career in advertising and moved to Sri Lanka in 2002.

Libby Southwell was born in Sydney. She has worked as an advertising executive and trained as a cordon bleu chef.

She is the author of the worldwide acclaimed biography "Monsoon Rains and Icicle Drops". Part proceeds from the sales of the book go to AdoptSrilanka, the charity Libby was instrumental in setting up.

She is a Director at The Ceylon Heritage Trust, an innovative management company for a group of businesses involved in up market tourism in Sri Lanka. The business focused on preserving the heritage of Sri Lanka as well as positioning Sri Lanka as a key destination for up market travellers globally.

Libby is also the Festival Director of the world's famous Galle Literary Festival and provides innovative and strategic business and marketing solutions to organisations.
